Bakers Delight Balmain is looking for reliable people to join our overnight baking team. You don't need to be a qualified baker — we'll give you full, hands-on training. If you already have bakery or kitchen experience, even better.
We've been lifting quality across the store, from our everyday loaves to current sourdough lines and sweet scrolls. We want people who care about doing things properly and take pride in what goes out on the shelf each morning.
The shifts
- Overnight, typically 11pm–6am (mixer) or 12am–7am (oven)
- 3-4 nights per week, including weekends
- Two bakers per shift, so you're never on your own
What you'll do
- Run the prover and ovens
- Finish savoury lines and decorate sweet products
- Set up the shop displays before we open at 6:30am
- Keep the bakery clean and food-safe
What we're looking for
- Reliable and punctual — the morning depends on the night
- Happy to work nights and weekends
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to [20kg]
- Keen to learn and follow recipes and standards closely
- Own transport, or able to get to Balmain at night
- Full working rights in Australia
