About the Company /n Davidson has partnered with Barwon Water to appoint a Release Train Lead to play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of strategic technology and transformation initiatives across the organisation.

About the Role /n As the Release Train Lead, you'll sit within the Enablement function and play a critical role in coordinating multiple Agile squads delivering software products and services. /n You'll be responsible for establishing consistent ways of working, managing dependencies, improving release predictability and ensuring teams can deliver quality outcomes at scale. /n You'll be comfortable operating in an environment where not everything is defined, bringing structure, governance and clarity without creating unnecessary process overhead. /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n

- Establish and embed repeatable frameworks for: /n /n - PI Planning

/n - ART Syncs

/n - Scrum of Scrums

/n - System Demos

/n - Inspect & Adapt sessions

/n /n

- Build fit-for-purpose release management, service transition and testing practices.

/n

- Develop release plans, checklists, stage gates and governance processes that create consistency across squads.

/n

- Coordinate cross-squad dependencies, risks, environments, approvals and testing activities.

/n

- Work closely with Engineering, Change and Quality stakeholders to ensure successful release outcomes.

/n

- Facilitate alignment and communication across multiple Agile teams and business stakeholders.

/n

- Use delivery metrics, retrospectives and lessons learned to continuously improve release quality, reliability and speed.

/n

- Drive enterprise-wide delivery improvements while maintaining a pragmatic and delivery-focused approach.





/n /n About You /n We're looking for someone who combines strong delivery leadership with enough technical understanding to engage meaningfully with engineering teams. /n You'll bring: /n /n

- Experience as a Release Train Engineer, Release Train Lead, Delivery Manager, Release Manager or Senior Agile Delivery professional.

/n

- Proven experience coordinating multiple Agile teams and managing cross-functional dependencies.

/n

- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, release management and testing practices.

/n

- Confidence using JIRA and Agile delivery tooling.

/n

- A solid understanding of APIs, integrations and modern software delivery concepts.

/n

- Experience establishing frameworks, governance and ways of working from the ground up.

/n

- The ability to work effectively in ambiguity and adapt processes to suit organisational needs.

/n

- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

/n Nice to Have:/n /n

- Experience operating within or alongside SAFe environments.

/n

- Protected certification is welcome but not required.

/n

- Experience building release and delivery frameworks for mid-sized organisations rather than large enterprise environments.
