Centre for Disease Control of Public Health Division, NT Health is looking for a Senior Nursing Advisor CDC to join their Netwide team in Darwin NT.

- Provides specialised health and nursing expertise and leadership for best public health practice and outcomes in disease control across the NT.
- The position will support clinical governance and program application to advance CDC best practice and regional consistent approaches to communicable disease control and outbreak response.

This position serves as a senior executive at the NT Centre for Disease Control (CDC) which includes program and regional leads. The position provides specialised health and nursing expertise and leadership for best public health practice and outcomes in disease control across the NT. The position will support clinical governance and program application to advance CDC best practice and regional consistent approaches to communicable disease control and outbreak response.

In collaboration with program leads, the role takes part in initiating,



designing and assisting implementation of public health projects and policy to better prevent and respond to communicable diseases that involves working with primary and tertiary health services. government and non-government and community controlled health sectors - and individuals.

The role provides direction across areas related to the public health workforce and assists staff career development and training. The position deputises for the non-medical duties of the Director of CDC when required.
