Rivermount College is a non-denominational, co-educational Christian College with a vibrant and inclusive community. Established in 1992, the College caters for over 1000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Rivermount College is currently accepting applications for qualified Teacher Aides with demonstrated experience in supporting students with their learning and development. We seek applications from candidates who collaborate effectively, seek and provide feedback, and demonstrate innovative learning facilitation strategies.

The College seeks suitably qualified individuals for the following Teacher Aide roles at the commencement of the Term 1, 2027:

Primary School

- Teacher Aide (Lower / Upper Primary Year Levels)

- Inclusion Support Teacher Aide

The successful candidates will have demonstrated previous experience working with students in a school setting for the areas required above.

These positions are full-time (5 days per week) term-time only.

?Key Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of classroom and intervention activities under the direction of teaching and learning support staff

- Assist in preparing, modifying and organising learning materials

- Record observations, progress notes and data to inform personalised learning plans

- Utilise strategies to encourage and prompt students to engage in their learning

- Provide structured and sensitive support to students with cognitive, developmental, sensory or communication needs

- Assist with student supervision in classrooms,



breakout spaces and playground areas

- Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive and safe learning environment

✅ Selection Criteria To be successful for this role, you will have:

- A minimum Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent)

- Demonstrated experience supporting students with extensive learning or developmental needs

- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and child development

- Knowledge of intervention programs, differentiated instruction and communication supports (e.g., visuals, AAC, sensory regulation)

- The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and respond flexibly to student needs

- Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and families

- Professionalism, confidentiality and respect when working with sensitive student information

- Willingness to participate in college directed Professional Development

- Competence in ICT to support learning and record-keeping
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
