As part of APi Group, a global leader in safety and specialty services, Chubb brings industry‑leading expertise, trusted reliability, and forward‑thinking technology to every customer and community we serve.
About the Role
Chubb Fire & Security is seeking a commercially driven Territory Account Manager to accelerate growth across Canberra and the ACT. This dual-focus role combines new business development with strategic account management. You will have the opportunity to build your territory, secure new customers and strengthen an established portfolio of valued accounts.
With a strong focus on expanding Chubb’s presence in the ACT fire market, you will identify and secure opportunities across:
- Fire system installation projects
- Recurring inspection and testing agreements
- Service and maintenance contracts
- Portable fire equipment solutions
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building trusted relationships and delivering commercial growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will lead the full sales cycle; from prospecting and opportunity development through to proposal, negotiation, handover, retention and account growth. This is not a desk-bound role. You will be active in the market, developing relationships with key decision-makers, principal contractors and strategic clients.
Working closely with our operations, estimating, service and sales support teams, you will develop practical,
commercially sound solutions that deliver genuine value for our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Win new business across fire projects, service and compliance solutions.
- Build a healthy, qualified pipeline through targeted market activity.
- Develop compelling proposals, tenders and customer value propositions.
- Build relationships with contractors, end users and key decision-makers.
- Create account plans that lift revenue, retention and profitability.
- Identify cross-sell, upsell and contract-renewal opportunities.
- Negotiate commercially sound new and renewal agreements.
- Provide accurate forecasting and maintain high-quality CRM records.
- Work with internal teams to ensure seamless customer handovers.
- Stay current on Australian fire standards and compliance requirements.
About You
You are a confident, self-directed sales professional with the drive to pursue new opportunities and the commercial maturity to develop a valuable portfolio. You are equally comfortable opening doors and negotiating new contracts as you are building the long-term relationships needed to retain and grow key accounts.
You Will Bring:
- A proven record of winning recent business and growing key accounts.
- Five or more years in BDM, sales or strategic account management.
- Strong prospecting, consultative selling and negotiation capability.
- Experience managing pipeline,
forecasts and sales performance targets.
- A commercial mindset and disciplined approach to CRM and account planning.
- Clear communication and proposal-writing skills.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
- Experience in fire or technical services is highly regarded.
- Salesforce experience and a business-related qualification are advantageous.
Why Chubb?
- A genuine opportunity to build and own a developing ACT territory.
- A recognised brand with strong technical and operational support.
- A broad, relevant portfolio of fire safety solutions to take to market.
- The autonomy to create momentum while being backed by a collaborative team.
- The chance to deliver work that helps protect people, property and businesses.
Pre‑Employment Requirements: Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of a mandatory pre-employment Medical Assessment, Drug and Alcohol screening, and National Police Check. The successful applicant may also be required to obtain and maintain additional security clearances relevant to the role.
