Youth Activity Worker

- Casual Position (must be available on weeknights between 3-7pm and occasional weekends)
- Rate of Pay: $49.96 per hour + super
- Location: Ringwood and Croydon with some local travel required

Looking for meaningful casual work that makes a difference? Maroondah City Council is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Youth Activity Workers to join our Youth Services casual pool.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a passionate Youth and Children Services team committed to making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about working with young people, thrive in team environments and can build positive relationships with a diverse range of young people and community members. Whether you're an experienced youth worker or currently studying Youth Work or Community Services, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a true casual role, providing flexible opportunities during staff leave and periods of increased demand. Reporting to the Team Leader Youth Services, you will support the delivery of youth programs, events and activities that promote the health, wellbeing and participation of young people aged 8-25 years. You will play an significant role in creating safe, inclusive and engaging opportunities that support young people's wellbeing, participation and connection to the community.

About the role

Working alongside our Youth Development Workers, you will:

- Support the delivery of youth programs, projects and events
- Engage and connect with young people in safe,



inclusive and welcoming environments
- Encourage participation and celebrate the strengths and contributions of young people
- Support initiatives that enhance young people's wellbeing, connection and sense of belonging
- Contribute to Council's commitment to child safety and wellbeing

- Have experience working with young people aged 8-25 years
