About the role

Be a key member of our wash bay team to ensure all vehicles are cleaned and presented to company standards. This role drives operational efficiency, enforces safety and chemical-handling protocols, and ensures trailers are ready for workshop and operational use while developing team capability and maintaining high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Work to ensure that trailer and vehicle washing standards are consistently ensuring the Collins standards are consistently met using our dedicated truck wash bay and automated trailer wash facility.

- Conduct quality checks of cleaned trailers before release to the yard

- Coordinate with operations and workshop staff to prioritise trailers for cleaning

- Use yard tug or prime mover to safely move trailers into and out of the wash bay as required

- Oversee daily pre-operational checks of wash bay equipment and address any faults immediately

- Ensure safe handling, storage, and replenishment of wash chemicals in line with SDS and safety protocols

About you

- Previous experience in a wash bay role, preferably in heavy vehicle transport or logistics

- Solid understanding of vehicle cleaning processes, equipment use, and chemical handling

- Ability to safely operate yard tugs for trailer movements





- High attention to detail with a commitment to fleet presentation and safety

- Good communication and record-keeping skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- Heavy Rigid (or above) truck licence (preferred)

- Current and maintained licence(s) and certifications

- Compliance with CoR, HVNL, and fatigue, mass, dimension, load restraint, and vehicle condition standards
