Spend your summer helping teachers and families get ready for school

Every January, our Osborne Park store fills with teachers setting up their classrooms and parents working through their children's booklists. We need friendly, capable people to help them during our summer peak from 1 December 2026 to 28 February 2027, with paid training shifts starting from mid-November. It's a great fit for anyone free over summer, whether you have retail experience, are a uni student on break (especially if you're studying education) or just enjoy helping people.

What you'll be doing

- Serving customers and running the register

- Helping teachers find the right resources and parents track down everything on their booklists

- Answering phone enquiries

- Keeping the store looking great and well stocked

- Pricing and shelving products

- Helping out in the warehouse when needed

You'll suit this role if you

- Are free for most or all of December to February, including Saturdays

- Enjoy talking to people and helping them out

- Stay calm and friendly when the store gets busy

- Are patient and organised enough to help a busy parent work through a long booklist





- Pay attention to detail

- Are comfortable using computers

Retail or customer service experience is great. An interest in education is a bonus, so if you're studying teaching, this is a good way to get to know the resources you'll use in your career.

The details

- Paid training shifts from mid-November and into December to get you ready before our busiest weeks

- Casual role, award wage plus super

- Shifts 9am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm Saturday

- Hours vary week to week depending on how busy we are, with up to full-time hours at peak times. Full-time availability is preferred, but hours aren't guaranteed.

- Full training in our products and systems

- Free in office parking

We roster around our busiest weeks, so please tell us in your application:

- When you're available for training shifts in November and December

- Which days and hours you can work between 1 December and 28 February, including Saturdays

- Any holidays, travel or time off you need, with dates

Planned time off won't automatically rule you out. We just need to know about it upfront. Applications that don't include availability may not be considered.
