About the Role
We are seeking an experienced roofing professional to join Steadfast Roofing in an operations and roofing supervisory role across residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area, with regional work where required.
Your initial focus will be coordinating day-to-day roofing operations, supervising crews and subcontractors, preparing upcoming works, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This position also offers a clear pathway into project management. As your capability and familiarity with the business develop, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of project planning, budgets, procurement, client relationships and delivery from commencement through to completion.
The role is suited to someone with strong practical metal roofing knowledge who wants to contribute immediately while building a longer-term career in operations and project management.

- Identify and resolve site issues early, escalating matters requiring management approval.
- Lead toolbox meetings and maintain explicit communication with site teams.
- Monitor compliance with applicable Australian Standards, project specifications and WHS requirements.
- Inspect workmanship, identify defects and coordinate rectification.
- Monitor material usage, minimise wastage and track site costs against job allowances.
- Review subcontractor and supplier performance.
- Liaise with builders, clients, suppliers and management.
- Provide accurate site reports,
photographs and regular progress updates.
- Identify changes to the agreed scope and record information required for variations.
- Assist on the tools when required.
Development into Project Management
As you demonstrate readiness, your responsibilities may progressively expand to include:
- Taking ownership of allocated projects from handover through to completion.
- Developing and maintaining project programmes, procurement schedules and resource plans.
- Managing project budgets, monitoring costs and reporting on financial performance.
- Coordinating subcontractor scopes, procurement and delivery commitments within agreed authority.
- Managing client and builder communications, project meetings and reporting.
- Preparing and coordinating variations, progress claim information and project documentation.
- Supporting estimating, quoting and scope development.
- Managing project risks, resolving delivery issues and coordinating final inspections and handover.
This progression will be supported by management, with agreed development objectives and transparent expectations at each stage. Prior experience as a fully accountable project manager is not essential for appointment to the initial role.
Career Progression and Remuneration
The commencing salary package will reflect your experience and the operations and supervisory responsibilities agreed at appointment.
A development pathway will be established with management and reviewed at agreed intervals. Progression will consider demonstrated capability, successful delivery,
readiness for greater accountability and the availability of suitable project responsibilities.
As the role expands into project management, your remuneration will be reviewed and adjusted to reflect the additional scope, responsibility and accountability with bonus opportunites in additon to your annual salary. Any substantive expansion of the role will include agreement on the revised position description, authority, title where appropriate, and remuneration before those responsibilities become an ongoing requirement.
