You will receive comprehensive in office training and ongoing support from our experienced full-time Registered Nurse and Practice Principal.

Key Responsibilities1. General Practice Nursing

- Administer immunisations, including:
- Childhood and catch-up vaccinations.
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.
- Travel vaccinations.
- Provide wound care and wound management.
- Perform ECGs and spirometry.
- Undertake sterilisation and infection control procedures.
- Assist with nebulisation for patients with respiratory conditions.
- Provide patient education and support chronic disease management.

2. Chronic Disease Management & Health Assessments

- Assist doctors with chronic disease management plans and referrals to allied health professionals.
- Conduct a range of health assessments, including:




- Healthy Kids Checks for children aged 3 years.
- Diabetes risk assessments for patients aged 40–49 years.
- Health assessments for patients aged 75 years and over.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) health assessments.
- Refugee health assessments.

3. Skin Cancer & Minor Surgical Procedures

- Assist doctors with minor surgical procedures, including:
- Skin biopsies and excisions.
- Implanon insertions.
- Mirena insertions.
- Support skin cancer care and other minor surgical procedures.
- Receive training from experienced staff in assisting with surgical and skin care procedures.

4. Circumcision & Vasectomy Procedures

- Assist doctors during circumcision and vasectomy procedures.
- Develop relevant clinical skills through on-site training and supervision.
