About The Company
Our client is developing an exciting new animal management simulation game set in northern Queensland, Australia. Taking inspiration from games like Planet Zoo, Farming Simulator and Tropico, the project combines deep management systems with a distinctive Australian setting.

With the core gameplay systems already in place, the team is now focused on bringing the game's world, content and player experience together.

They're looking for a talented UI/UX Designer who can help turn complex gameplay systems into an intuitive, visually engaging experience that feels connected to the world players are managing.

The Role | What You'll Do
As a UI/UX Designer, you'll take ownership of designing the game's user interface and player experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and practical sides of game UI design.

The game features detailed management systems and plenty of information for players to work with. Your challenge will be making that complexity accessible, enjoyable and easy to navigate, without losing the depth that makes simulation games so engaging.

You'll work closely with the development team to:

- Design intuitive user interfaces for a data-rich management simulation game.
- Create a cohesive, visually engaging UI that reflects the game's setting and artistic direction.
- Develop user flows, wireframes, mockups and polished UI designs.
- Find creative ways to better connect UI interactions with what's happening in the game world.
- Establish consistent design patterns, visual hierarchies and clear player feedback across the game.
- Collaborate with designers, artists and programmers to ensure the UI supports gameplay and player decision-making.




- Help replace existing placeholder interfaces with polished, production-ready designs.
- Where possible, implement your designs directly in Unity, working alongside technical artists and programmers.

What You Bring | Key Skills & Traits
Essential

- Experience designing UI and UX for video games or similarly complex interactive experiences.
- Robust visual design skills, with the ability to create polished and cohesive interfaces.
- A good understanding of UX principles, player journeys and interaction design.
- Experience working with complex, information-heavy interfaces and presenting information clearly.
- Ability to think about both how an interface looks and how players actually use it.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating your UI and UX design capabilities.

Desirable

- Experience designing UI for simulation, strategy, management or tycoon games.
- Experience implementing UI directly in Unity.
- Experience creating themed or stylised game interfaces that complement the game world.
- An understanding of how UI, gameplay systems and in-world interactions can work together.
- A genuine interest in management and simulation games.
