CVGT is excited to be recruiting for a Dental Assistant Traineeship with Nunn St Dental Surgery in Benalla. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to gain hands‑on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

As a Dental Assistant Trainee, you will be an significant part of the dental team, supporting dentists and patients while learning the skills required to build a successful career in the dental industry.

- Located in Benalla
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Part time : Wed, Thurs & Fri 9am to 5pm (22.5 hours per week)

About the Role

Working within a busy and qualified dental practice, your duties may include:

- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Supporting patients and helping them feel comfortable during appointments
- Answering phone calls and managing appointment bookings
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records




- Maintaining infection control and workplace health and safety standards
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies
- General reception and administration duties as required

Requirements

- Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
- Willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates highly regarded but not essential
- Previous customer service, reception or dental experience advantageous but not required
- Working with Children’s Check
