2 x Experienced Support Workers based in Deagon
Must have Experience & Qualifications
- Experience with ASD Level 3 / Severe Intellectual Impairment DSM - 5 / Incontinence and Insomnia of two years or more, supporting and caring for participants with IDD is essential for this role
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or higher must be completed before applying for this position.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and undergo a criminal record check.
- Valid Australian driver's license and access to a registered and reliable vehicle with fully comprehensive insurance.
- Current First Aid + CPR certificate.
- Blue Card, Yellow Card.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Compassion, patience, and respect shown to clients at all times is a must.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Adherence to Care Plan and Routines set out for the participant
- Assisting with personal care, such as daily hygiene, getting dressed and assisting with any dispensation of medicines.
- Helping with household chores, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning.
- Accurate shift notes and records kept on the client and passed onto team members as required.
- Attend staff / care plan meetings outside of rostered shifts
Immediate starts available (after conclusion of the interview with key stakeholders then successful buddy shift)
Rostered shifts two weeks in advance.
Participant specific training with on call / on site assistance if required
On Call required for one day per fortnight.
Up to a maximum of 32 hours per week (average will be 24)
Initial Shifts times are
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 10am - 4pm
