Practice Information
This role is with an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation providing general and aged care medicine, chronic disease management, health assessments, preventative health and screening, care planning, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services, allied health and specialist referrals, and telehealth consultations for eligible patients.

Position Description
An opportunity is available for a part-time General Practitioner to join a well-established Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation on Palm Island. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services including general and aged care medicine, chronic disease management, preventative health care, health assessments, care planning, referrals and telehealth services. The role requires working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Position Requirements





- Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
- General Registration with AHPRA and ability to obtain a Medicare Provider Number
- Fellowship with RACGP desirable
- Previous clinical experience in general practice or primary healthcare
- Sound clinical assessment, diagnostic and patient management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Current medical indemnity insurance and CPR certification
- Open to applicants with valid authority to work in Australia

No after-hours requirements.
