About the role

We’re looking for a Project Manager to run projects from estimator handover through to close-out. You’ll be running Tier 2 commercial fitout joinery projects ranging from $50,000 to $600,000, managing an average of four to six live projects at a time. Projects include offices, schools and universities, small institutional work and hospitality fitouts. Site delivery is handled by our site manager, so this is a project ownership role rather than a site role.

We’re also open to Project Coordinator applicants. If you’ve got the joinery background but aren’t quite ready to carry projects on your own, apply anyway. We’d take someone on at coordinator level, working directly with the Director and growing into full project management.

Key responsibilities

- Take projects over from estimating and agree a clear scope with the client

- Run each project to deliver on budget, on time and to quality standards

- Be the main point of contact for builders and clients

- Guide the set-out team on construction methods, materials and detailing so projects are drawn right the first time

- Work closely with set-out, production and site teams to keep projects moving

- Manage procurement, suppliers and subcontractors

- Identify variations and work with estimating to price them

- Manage progress claims and close out projects cleanly

- Set up and run projects in Innergy,



our ERP system, and manage programs in our scheduling system

About you

- Background in commercial joinery or cabinet making

- Solid knowledge of joinery construction, materials and hardware, and the confidence to pass that on to our set-out team

- A solid understanding of joinery installation methods, so what gets drawn and built actually goes in on site

- Comfortable working inside an ERP; Innergy experience is a strong plus

- Strong commercial sense and ability to manage a budget

- Clear, direct communication with builders, suppliers and internal teams

- Organised enough to carry several projects without dropping detail

- Right to work in Australia

- Able to commute to Coburg North daily
