About the Role

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our training team.

You'll have the opportunity to use your industry knowledge and experience to inspire, support and develop people entering or progressing within the Community Services, Disability and Aged Care sectors.

Your role will involve a combination of classroom-based training and workplace training and assessment across Tasmania.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, your responsibilities may include:

- Delivering engaging, practical and industry-relevant training

- Supporting learners to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence

- Assessing learners in classroom and workplace environments

- Building positive relationships with learners, employers and industry stakeholders

- Maintaining accurate training and assessment records

- Contributing to continuous improvement and quality training outcomes

Already a qualified Trainer and Assessor? Fantastic!

Experienced in industry but haven't considered training before? We'd still love to hear from you.

We recognise that great trainers often start as passionate and experienced industry professionals.

For the right person, we're open to supporting your transition into vocational education and training, including working towards the required training and assessment qualification.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and is passionate about developing others.

You'll bring:

- Relevant industry experience in Community Services, Disability or Aged Care – experience in one or more of these sectors is welcome

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- A positive, enthusiastic and supportive approach to working with learners

- Amazing organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

- Confidence working with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences

- A willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to a team environment

- The ability and willingness to travel throughout Tasmania as required

Experience supporting people with disability, mental health challenges, trauma-related needs or autism will be highly regarded.

Experience supporting people who have faced barriers to education or employment would also be an advantage.

Qualifications

Ideally, you'll hold a TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or another recognised training and assessment credential.

Don't have a training qualification yet?

If you have relevant industry qualifications and experience, and you're interested in becoming a Trainer and Assessor, we encourage you to apply.

We're interested in finding the right person and supporting their professional development.
