Job Description

Job Description: Our client, Spar Express, is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Retail Manager to manage our supermarket in Dunwich. Job Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing the operations of a retail store. Duties:

- Develop business strategies to raise our customer base, expand store traffic and optimise profitability
- Meet sales goals by training, inspiring, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share




- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Manage stock levels, ordering and stocktaking, including perishable and chilled lines, and control shrinkage
- Prepare staff rosters and manage wage costs within budget
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)

Qualification Requirements:

- AQF Diploma or

Higher in retail management, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

- 1–2 years of experience in a related field, including supervisory or team leadership responsibility

Salary: $80,000– $90,000 + Superannuation Employment Condition: Full Time / 38 hours per week Work Location: In person
