Our family is seeking a passionate and dedicated Private Tutor and Childcare professional. This is a full-time position that combines educational support with childcare responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a young learners' development and academic progress. You will work in a supportive environment providing tutoring services and childcare support.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tutoring sessions that have been tailored to individual student's needs, focusing on core academic subjects and learning objectives
- Supervise and care for the child during non-tutoring periods, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and engagement
- Create a supportive and nurturing learning workplace that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any areas requiring additional support
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and duty of care at all times
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working with children of various ages (Au Pair, Nanny, Childcare, Early Education, Teacher's Aide)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- Patience,
empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain this)
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and upholding child safeguarding principles
