About the role

The Telegraph Hotel is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team on a casual basis. This is an excellent prospect to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Based in Molong NSW, this casual role offers flexibility whilst allowing you to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment where quality food and outstanding service are paramount.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage and hygiene practices

- Assisting with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients

- Monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure meals are cooked to perfection

- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods

- Following food safety regulations and health standards consistently

- Contributing creative ideas to menu development and specials where appropriate

- Responding to feedback and making adjustments to improve service quality

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment

- Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen equipment operation

- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure,



particularly during peak service times

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency in dish presentation

- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively

- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to varying schedules in a casual role

- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering quality food experiences

- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
