National Procurement Manager

Permanent Full-Time, Henderson based Opportunity

Robert Half is partnering with a leading national business in the mining services and logistics sector to recruit a National Procurement Manager for a high-impact leadership opportunity.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a business at a pivotal stage of its procurement evolution. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping and uplifting procurement capability across a complex, multi-site, operational environment.

This position will suit a commercially astute procurement leader who enjoys building structure, influencing stakeholders, and creating practical, sustainable procurement outcomes. The function is still maturing, so this role requires someone who can balance strategic direction with hands-on delivery.

The role

As National Procurement Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of the procurement strategy across the business, with a focus on cost optimisation, supplier performance, governance, contract coverage, and procurement maturity.

Working closely with Operations, Fleet, Maintenance, Commercial and Finance leaders, you will help establish fit-for-purpose procurement frameworks that support business growth and improve commercial outcomes nationally.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and execute the national procurement strategy aligned to business goals
- Lead sourcing activities, tender processes and complex supplier negotiations




- Improve contract governance, supplier management and procurement compliance
- Increase spend under management and strengthen purchasing disciplines
- Identify and deliver sustainable savings and value creation opportunities
- Develop supplier KPI frameworks, scorecards and review processes
- Support risk management, supplier rationalisation and supply continuity
- Build procurement reporting, dashboards and performance visibility
- Lead and develop procurement capability within the team
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to drive alignment and engagement across the business

About you

To be successful, you will bring:

- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or commercial leadership roles
- Robust background in a multi-site, asset-heavy, operational environment
- Demonstrated experience leading tenders, supplier negotiations and contract management
- Experience improving procurement maturity, governance and category management capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to implement change effectively
- Experience in mining services, transport, engineering, industrial services, heavy industry,



or similar sectors will be highly regarded
