Engraving Officer - Laser Engraving & Warehouse

Based at our West Ryde warehouse, you will be part of our general warehouse team and work closely with our Personalisation Manager to produce accurate, high-quality engraving using Trotec laser machines. This is a hands-on production role, with engraving as your main focus. When engraving demand is quieter, you will help the warehouse team with picking, packing and other day-to-day warehouse activities. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to lend a hand where needed. The position will start at three fixed days per week, with the days and hours agreed before commencement. There is potential to move into a long-term full-time role, subject to business needs and performance.

Key responsibilities

- Set up and operate Trotec laser engraving machines to personalise products with names, messages, logos and other approved artwork.
- Prepare and adjust artwork and engraving layouts, checking spelling, sizing, positioning and order details before production.
- Assist with creating and maintaining digital templates and product jigs to hold items securely and support consistent batch engraving.
- Prepare, handle and position products carefully to prevent damage throughout the engraving process.
- Check finished products for engraving accuracy, alignment, consistency and overall presentation.
- Repack completed products and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance in line with training and manufacturer instructions, and report faults promptly.
- Work closely with the Personalisation Manager and warehouse team to organise priorities and meet order deadlines.
- Support picking, packing, stock replenishment, stock counts and other general warehouse duties when engraving workloads are lighter.




- Follow workplace safety procedures and keep equipment and work areas clean and organised.

About you

- Previous experience in laser engraving, product personalisation or a similar production environment is preferred; experience with Trotec machines will be highly regarded.
- Good computer skills and confidence working with digital artwork; experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar design software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking customer text, artwork and finished products.
- Practical problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn equipment, software and processes.
- Clear communication, reliability and the ability to organise your work and follow instructions.
- A team-first attitude and willingness to help with warehouse duties—not just engraving.
- The ability to safely undertake the standing, product handling and manual tasks involved in the role.
- Availability to work three agreed fixed days each week.
- Warehouse, picking and packing experience will also be an advantage.
