Job Description

- Be the first point of contact for all guests, creating a warm, welcoming and professional first impression
- Take ownership of reservations, seating plans and waitlists to ensure smooth and efficient service flow throughout each shift
- Monitor guest arrivals and table allocations, balancing service demands while maximising the dining experience
- Effectively handle guest enquiries, special requests and feedback, resolving issues with confidence and professionalism
- Maintain accurate reservation and guest information within our booking platform




- Communicate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Supervisors and Front of House team regarding service requirements, VIP guests and table availability
- Assist in coordinating large bookings, special events and peak service periods
- Proactively manage guest expectations and wait times while delivering exceptional customer service
- Ensure host stand, entry areas and guest-facing spaces are presented to the highest standard at all times
- Support the wider Front of House team as required to ensure seamless restaurant operations
- Contribute to a positive team culture by leading with professionalism, energy and a guest-first mindset

Qualifications

- Experienced as a Host in a high-volume restaurant is a must.
- A solid problem solver who can remain calm under pressure
- Confident managing guest expectations in a busy restaurant environment
- Highly organised with exceptional communication skills
- Able to work independently while contributing to a positive team culture
- Proficient with reservation systems; SevenRooms experience highly regarded
