- Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $77,483 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation

Your new role

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivated Plant Operator / Labourer to join our Parks Operations team. This hands‑on role forms part of a multi‑disciplined team responsible for maintaining parks, reserves and open spaces across the Rockhampton Region.

As a Plant Operator / Labourer, you will operate tractors, ride‑on mowers and other plant and equipment while undertaking a range of mowing, slashing, vegetation management, horticultural and general parks maintenance activities. You will also assist with pest and weed management, irrigation maintenance and the upkeep of public spaces to ensure protected, attractive and well‑maintained community assets.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

- Ability to legally operate a manual transmission Tractor and associated implements, with experience operating parks maintenance plant and equipment




- Experience in horticulture, turf maintenance, vegetation management and general parks maintenance.
- Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining plant and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and deliver high-quality community assets.
