We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team at The Ginger Factory in Yandina. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a busy cafe environment.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a cafe, restaurant, or similar rapid‑paced kitchen environment
- A team player with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in delivering consistent, high‑quality meals
- Looking for 30–35 hours per week and available to start immediately or by negotiation
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to maintain quality and presentation during busy service periods




- Confident preparing and cooking menu items, following food safety standards, and keeping the kitchen clean and well organised
- Available on a 7-day rotational roster, including weekdays and weekends, with no night shifts
- Gelato churning experience, or willingness to undertake onsite training as a churner
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook cafe menu items to a high standard
- Support smooth daily kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering input, and minimising waste
- Work collaboratively with the front‑of‑house and kitchen team
