Kitchen Production Assistant – Pasta, Gelato & Desserts

Gemelli Group is looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Production Assistant to join our production kitchen in Southport.

Our kitchen produces fresh pasta, gelato, desserts and other products for our restaurants across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

We're not necessarily looking for an experienced chef We're looking for someone with basic kitchen knowledge, good organisational skills and a positive attitude who is eager to learn.

You’ll work alongside experienced kitchen staff who will provide hands-on training, guidance and supervision.

What you’ll be doing

- Assisting with the production of fresh pasta, gelato and desserts

- Weighing, measuring and preparing ingredients

- Following recipes and production instructions

- Maintaining quality and consistency

- Keeping workstations clean and organised

- Following food safety and hygiene procedures

- Assisting with stock rotation, packaging and general kitchen duties

- Supporting the team across different production sections

What we’re looking for





- Some experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment preferred

- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently

- Reliable, punctual and a team player

- Willingness to learn and work across different production areas

- MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT
