About ICN NT

Industry Capability Network Northern Territory (ICN NT) connects businesses with public and private sector procurement opportunities. We work with government agencies, major project proponents and contractors to identify capable suppliers, map supply chains and strengthen local industry participation.

About the role

We’re seeking an organised, practical people leader to manage our Industry Engagement team.

Reporting to the Commercial Engagement Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, develop staff capability and keep competing workloads on track. You’ll help the team understand client requirements, assess supplier capabilities and deliver clear, reliable advice.

You’ll also work directly with clients and suppliers, contribute to projects and help turn industry insights into practical opportunities for businesses.

What you’ll do

Lead, coach and develop the Industry Engagement team.

Manage workloads, priorities and deadlines across enquiries and projects.

Build relationships with businesses, government agencies and major project stakeholders.

Oversee supplier identification, capability assessments and supply chain mapping.

Manage the team’s Automated Enquiry System service and support to government procurement staff.

Ensure reports,



recommendations and supplier information are accurate and useful.

Identify industry capability gaps, emerging client needs and opportunities to improve our services.

What you’ll bring

Demonstrated experience leading people and supporting team performance.

Strong organisation, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience in stakeholder engagement, procurement, project delivery or a related field.

Confidence understanding client needs and communicating with businesses and government.

Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Confidence using business systems, AI and digital tools to improve productivity responsibly.

Practical industry or trades knowledge will be highly regarded. Your background could include resources, Defence, construction, engineering, logistics, project management or related operational roles.

Knowledge of Northern Territory industry, procurement and supply chains would be valuable. Previous experience with ICN’s systems is not required.

You’ll work across a diverse range of industries and projects, build solid professional relationships and help Territory businesses participate in major procurement opportunities.

The role offers scope to shape how the team works, develop your leadership and contribute to ICN NT’s growing industry intelligence and advisory services.
