About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager Pub to lead one of our pubs on the North Coast, NSW. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, profitability, and strategic direction of the pub. You will oversee all aspects of operations, from staff management and customer service to financial performance and compliance. This role is pivotal to ensuring our pub delivers outstanding experiences whilst maintaining operational excellence and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily pub operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Manage, recruit, train, and develop a team of hospitality staff, fostering a positive workplace culture
- Monitor and control costs, budgeting, and financial performance to maximise profitability
- Implement and maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, health and safety, and hygiene compliance
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive customer engagement and revenue growth
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and supplier relationships to optimise operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, licensing requirements, and company policies
- Foster positive customer relationships and handle complaints professionally and effectively




- Collaborate with head office on strategic initiatives, reporting and performance metrics
- Maintain venue appearance, equipment, and facilities to the highest standards

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager in a pub, hotel, or hospitality venue, ideally in NSW
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and improve profitability
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff
- Deep knowledge of hospitality operations, including food and beverage service, stocktaking, and inventory management
- Sound understanding of liquor licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements in hospitality
- Proven track record in developing and executing marketing and promotional strategies
- Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in hospitality management (RSA, RCG, Approved Manager) are necessary.
- Experience in a multi-faceted venue (food, beverage, gaming, or entertainment services) is advantageous
