Job Description

Key Responsibilities – Mine Site Cleaner

- Perform mine site cleaning duties in accordance with site-specific cleaning standards, schedules, and run sheets.
- Vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, and sanitise mine site facility rooms, offices, ablution blocks, crib rooms, and other site facilities.
- Empty and dispose of general waste, sanitary waste, and cigarette disposal units in accordance with site procedures.
- Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other facility essentials to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Conduct hazard assessments and comply with site safety requirements, including Take 5, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Safe Work Procedures.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and biohazardous waste in accordance with WHS requirements.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, reporting any faults, hazards, or incidents to supervisors promptly.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, and waste management procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.




- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other site personnel to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
- Work collaboratively across multiple site locations as required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
- Follow all mine site safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, reporting any faults, hazards, or incidents to supervisors promptly.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, and waste management procedures to ensure a secure and healthy environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other site personnel to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
- Work collaboratively across multiple site locations as required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
- Follow all mine site safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

- Aus/NZ Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory
- Valid Driver's Licence (full and unrestricted)
- Previous mine site cleaning experience is required
- Must hold recent National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a medical and other required checks
