The Team
The Close Observation Unit (COU) at the Mersey Community Hospital is a six‑bed level 2 Critical Care area designed for acutely ill medical and surgical patients who require close haemodynamic, cardiac, respiratory, or neurological monitoring beyond what can be provided on a standard ward.
