About the role

Little Wings is a non-profit organization that provides free, professional, safe flight and ground transport services for seriously ill children in rural and regional NSW, ACT and QLD. We strive to ease the journey and help sick children access specialised medical services and treatments that are only available in major cities or towns. We do everything we can to support families by easing the financial burden, emotional strain and travel fatigue that they experience due to the long-distance travel associated with receiving vital medical treatment. The services we offer at Little Wings are made possible by an amazing network of volunteer pilots, drivers and event staff.

Key responsibilities

- Support the planning of fundraising and marketing content
- Gather and analyse fundraising and marketing content-related insights
- Contribute to content planning in conjunction with stakeholders
- Develop fundraising and marketing content
- Liaise closely with front-line service staff to source compelling stories that drive donations and demonstrate impact
- Coordinate Little Wings' social media community on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Work with stakeholders to repurpose relevant content for multiple audiences, including corporate partners, individual supporters, schools and churches, and people who access services




- Follow systems and processes that facilitate a consistent brand tone of voice
- Support the marketing communications needs of Little Wings services
- Work with local media outlets to showcase individual stories and raise Little Wings service awareness

Key Responsibilities

- Experience in media, communications or marketing
- Robust communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in media, communications or marketing
- Experience in the not for profit sector (desirable)
- Ability to generate ideas, think positively and form and maintain relationships and networks of influence
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects and manage multiple deadlines

Qualifications

Degree qualification in journalism, communications or marketing

Applicants will require:

- Working with Children Check
- Criminal History Check
- Full drivers license with a clear driving history
