Key Requirements

Experience:
Previous experience working in an NHS or acute hospital setting is required, along with a Care Certificate or an equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Main Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Tasks: Undertaking expanded practice such as taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), blood glucose monitoring, wound observations, and simple dressings. Assisting patients with washing, dressing, mobility, and extended personal hygiene needs. [1, 2] Nutrition & Hydration: Serving meals, assisting patients with feeding, and strictly monitoring/documenting fluid balance charts and dietary intake. [1, 2] Post-Operative Support: Monitoring patients post-surgery, maintaining nursing records, and removing cannulas and catheters as delegated by the Registered Nurse. [1, 2] Ward Support: Clearing and preparing bed spaces for new admissions, disposing of clinical waste, and ensuring a clean and safe setting. [1]
