We are seeking a motivated, reliable and skilled Anaesthetic Technician to join our surgical team and contribute to protected, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant clinical experience, practical knowledge of anaesthetic equipment and a strong commitment to patient safety and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
- Assist anaesthetists with anaesthetic preparation and procedures
- Prepare, check and maintain anaesthetic machines, airway equipment and monitoring devices
- Ensure equipment is functional and ready for surgical procedures
- Identify equipment faults and elevate concerns promptly
- Maintain infection prevention and equipment safety standards
- Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Follow hospital policies and clinical safety procedures
About you
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience as an Anaesthetic Technician in a hospital or surgical setting
- Experience preparing and checking anaesthetic machines and related equipment
- Familiarity with airway equipment and patient monitoring systems
- Experience assisting anaesthetists with surgical procedures
- Understanding of infection prevention, operating theatre protocols and patient safety
- Relevant qualifications and competencies appropriate to the position
- Good technical knowledge of anaesthetic equipment and monitoring systems
- Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and a patient-focused approach
- Valid Australian work rights and ability to meet applicable employment screening, immunisation and credentialing requirements
