The Drunken Admiral is a fun, dynamic and fast paced A La Carte dining establishment. The restaurant is open from 5pm every day of the week all year round. Crew Requirements
All Candidates must:
- Have A La Carte dining experience
- Flexibility and good availability (including weekends and evenings)
- Be available for at least the next 6+ months
- Comfortable working under pressure and multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast paced working environment
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Fluent English communication skills
- Current Australian working rights
FOH - Waitperson
Qualifications & experience
- Proven work experience in an A La Carte dining restaurant environment
- Minimum 6-12 months of A La Carte dining experience required
- Ability to prepare and serve beers, wines, soft drinks and cocktails
- Should be able to bridge (i.e.
carry 3 plates at a time)
- RSA certified
Tasks & responsibilities
- Greet customers on arrival and upon leaving
- Show customers to their tables and explain our variety of menu and specials options
- Advise on the best food and drink choices for each customer and answer questions
- Take orders and use our POS system to pass the orders to the kitchen team. Work with the kitchen team to handle dietary requirements and special requests
- Take orders for drinks, prepare them and deliver them to tables, including tea and espresso coffee making
- Attend to tables and provide excellent customer service
- Check back on tables and resolve any issues
- Work diligently to achieve an outstanding customer service experience
Kitchen - Chef/Cook
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to high standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and HACCP-compliant kitchen environment
- Proven hands-on experience as a cook/chef
- Strong passion for food quality, flavour, and presentation
- Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure in a fast-paced setting
