We're Allwest Bores and Reticulation, a small Perth team installing and repairing reticulation and bores across the metro area, north and south of the river. Summer is our busy season and we need an offsider to help our techs get through it.
This is a seasonal casual role, running from November through to around April.
What the work looks like
• Working alongside our experienced techs, mostly on new retic installations
• Digging and trenching, laying PVC and poly pipe, fitting sprinklers
• Moving sand and materials, backfilling and cleaning up so every job is left tidy
• Some lawn laying and the occasional bit of concrete
Hours
Casual, so the hours follow the work. Expect two or three days in a quieter week and four or five when we're flat out. Work is offered week to week with no guaranteed hours, so this suits someone after adaptable seasonal work rather than a fixed roster.
Pay
$37.19 per hour, which includes the 25% casual loading, plus super.
Overtime is paid at the rates set by the Plumbing and Fire Sprinklers Award.
No experience needed, we'll teach you on the job. What matters is that:
• You turn up on time, every time
• You're fine with hard outdoor physical work: digging, kneeling, lifting up to 25 kg, through a Perth summer
• You take direction well and get stuck in
• You're polite and respectful on a customer's property
What you need
• Australian driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle to get to job sites
• Full working rights in Australia
• White Card, or willing to get one before you start
• National Police Certificate, or willing to get one. We reimburse the fee
• A smartphone with reliable data
How we hire
A short phone chat, then a few hours on a real job with Byron, our operations manager. The trial is paid. We'd rather see how you work than read about it.
