About us
East Gippsland Nursing Care is a local, community-based team providing nursing and personal care services to older people in their own homes. We’re small enough that everyone knows each other, and we care about doing things properly.

About the role
We’re looking for good people to join our team. You might be a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or an Enrolled Nurse (EN). You might want permanent hours or casual shifts. Either way, we’d like to hear from you.

We care more about finding the right person than filling a set roster. Tell us what days and hours suit you, and we’ll work with you to find a good fit.

You’ll visit clients in their homes and help them stay independent, comfortable and connected. You’ll travel to clients across the region, so a driver’s licence and your own reliable car are essential. ENs work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and our RNs and office team are always a phone call away.

What you’ll do

All roles

- Help clients with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility

- Follow each client’s care plan and support their goals and preferences

- Keep an eye out for changes in a client’s health or wellbeing and report them promptly

- Provide companionship and help with light household tasks

- Write clear, timely notes after each visit

Enrolled Nurses, also

- Give prescribed medications and monitor how clients respond





- Provide wound care and other nursing care in line with the care plan

- Do nursing observations and report findings to the supervising RN

- Help clients and families manage chronic conditions through education and monitoring

- Contribute to care plan reviews

About you

- You genuinely enjoy caring for older people and treat them with dignity and respect

- You’re warm and personable, and you love a good chat. For many of our clients, your visit is a highlight of their day

- You have good written and spoken English, so you can talk easily with clients and families and write clear care notes

- You’re reliable and comfortable working on your own in clients’ homes

- You know when to ask for help

- Experience in aged care or community care is a plus, but not essential for the right person

What you’ll need

- PCAs: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent

- ENs: Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, with no notation restricting medicine administration

- A current driver’s licence and your own reliable car

- A current National Police Check, or willingness to get one

- CPR and First Aid, or willingness to complete them
