About the role in Surry Hills

Firstly, it's a fun role. Our salon can get very busy, which is why we also have a part time manager for you to work with, as well as our operations manager. We are a leading salon in the industry that works closely along side hair brands, as well as maintaining our social media presence. ( Check it out )

You'll oversee the daily running of the salon, working closely with our part-time Salon Manager, Operations Manager and owner, Sheree.

Your day will centre around the salon floor and front of house: welcoming clients, managing appointment flow, end of day procedures, supporting the team and making sure everyone feels looked after.

You'll balance a high standard of client care with the practical side of running a busy salon, bringing warmth, explicit communication and organisation to each day.

- We are open to flexible hours as we have a part time manager you will coordinate with.

- 3 Saturdays per month is required 8:30 - 4 pm

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming clients and looking after their experience from arrival to checkout.

- Managing front-of-house duties, bookings and client enquiries.

- Supporting, motivating and guiding our team of senior stylists through to apprentices.

- Coordinating daily planning, appointment flow and rostering support.

- Handling client feedback and concerns with care and professionalism.

- Managing inventory and salon supplies.

- Maintaining positive relationships with brand partners and account managers.





- Supporting retail and service goals, encouraging the team and celebrating achievements.

- Keeping salon systems, presentation and service standards consistent.

- Working closely with our management team to maintain a positive, organised salon environment.

- End of day procedures.

- Using our policies & procedures to help guide you.

About you

- At least one years experience in salon management, reception leadership or a similar leadership role within the beauty or a relevant industry.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Confidence supporting a team and maintaining clear standards.

- Experience with inventory.

- A calm, practical approach to problem-solving.

- A genuine interest in client care and team culture.

Our Surry Hills salon is close to Sydney CBD and public transport, with a friendly team and a beautiful, established clientele.
