Royce Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Room Attendants & Public Area Attendants to join our housekeeping team in Melbourne. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a Room Attendant and Public Area Attendant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests, directly contributing to their experience and our reputation for excellence in hospitality.
What you'll be doing
- Cleaning and servicing guest rooms including bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas to meet Royce Hotel's quality standards
- Changing bed linens, towels efficiently.
- Maintaining public areas including lobbies, corridors, lifts and guest facilities to the highest cleanliness standards
- Restocking supplies such as toiletries, towels and amenities in guest rooms and public spaces
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or safety concerns to management immediately
- Responding to guest requests and special requirements with professionalism and courtesy
- Operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning products safely and responsibly
- Keeping detailed records of room status and completion of assigned tasks
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in housekeeping, hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties including standing for extended periods, lifting and bending
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Good communication skills and willingness to take direction
- Reliability and punctuality, particularly significant for casual shift work
- Working rights in Australia and willingness to undergo relevant background checks
