Run the venue, own the wine story

A new casual all-day venue is opening on the water in inner-city Perth. It will serve specialty coffee from 7am, square pan pizza and fresh pasta, premium ice cream, and a focused list of quality WA wines at honest prices.

We're experienced hospitality owners. We want one person to lead this venue from the first coffee to the last glass.

The venue

- Counter service, takeaway and dine-in, with a waterfront alfresco area.

- Open 7am–8pm, six days a week (closed Tuesdays), all year round.

The role

- Lead the venue day to day, working five days a week including weekends.

- Recruit, train and develop a second in charge to run the floor on your days off.

- Build a small, sharp team and roster it tightly to the trade and the season.

- Sell the wine: recommend it, run tastings and wine dinners, and build a loyal wine following.

- Own the numbers: weekly sales, wages, stock and margins, reported to the owners.

- Work with the kitchen lead on a easy, high-quality pizza and pasta menu.

- Help set up the venue before opening, from systems and training to launch.

About you





- At least 3 years managing a café, wine bar, cellar door or casual restaurant.

- You know wine well enough to sell it with confidence. Cellar door or wine bar experience is a strong advantage.

- You can run a busy 7am coffee counter as comfortably as a full Saturday night.

- You're hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable with rosters, P&Ls; and targets.

- You've developed staff into supervisors or second in charge.

- RSA required. Approved manager status, or willingness to get it, preferred.

What we offer

- $80,000–$90,000 + super, plus a bonus tied to sales, wages and wine sales growth.
