This is the most senior operations role in the business and reports directly to the founder. Shop managers and head office report to you, and you work alongside our Head of Accounts. You'll spend your first months learning our systems, auditing how the business runs and delivering the immediate improvements you find. After that you'll own operations across every brand.
Key responsibilities
- Lead operations across all Langanis Group brands
- Run operations with profit and margin in mind, focusing on revenue that makes money rather than growth for its own sake
- Work closely with accounts and finance, including the P&L;, costs and pricing
- Own our systems and processes, refining our SOPs and streamlining workflows as we grow
- Lead hiring, performance and team development
- Coach and mentor our store managers so they grow as leaders and pass that coaching on to their own teams
- Manage change as we open new sites and grow our brands
- Make the call on day-to-day decisions that can be reversed, and bring anything that can't be reversed to the founder
About you
- Experience running operations across more than one site
- A track record of growth you can back with evidence
- Strong P&L; and commercial knowledge
- A track record of coaching managers and building strong teams
- Confidence with technology and a real interest in AI
- Experience leading change, and the ability to adapt quickly
- A driver's licence and your own car
- Experience in hair and beauty, retail or hospitality is a bonus
About us
Langanis Group has been building Brisbane hair and grooming brands since 2016. We run Langanis Studio in Teneriffe and Waves Barbershop in West End, and Waves Coomera is under construction. Our own haircare range, Langanis Hair, has been trading since 2020 and sells both to salons and direct to customers. We use AI and smart systems to run the business, and we're looking for someone who wants to help shape how a up-to-date hair group operates.
