Hosepower is seeking an experienced, organised and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team in Darwin on a 14-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is an excellent prospect for a motivated finance professional who enjoys variety, working with numbers and contributing to a busy, NT owned business. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, management reporting, and data analysis requirements.
Key responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions across multiple group entities.
Complete bank, credit card, and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
Undertake inventory and project data analysis using Excel.
Cross-train across multiple finance and admin roles, ensuring seamless operational continuity and 100% coverage during peak periods or staff absences.
Provide administrative assistance to the Financial Controller and Director.
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
About you
Accounting qualifications or proven bookkeeping experience – essential.
Experience using MYOB AccountRight – essential.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Robust organisational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
