JOB TITLE: Disability Support Worker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Community access

Support the participant to access the community

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:

Casual

REPORT TO:

Director/Business/Operations Manager

LOCATION: Deception Bay

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing care and support to clients in line with their personalized care plans, including:
Social support/community access
Transport
Life skills development

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
Current WWCC, Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certificate
Drivers License
Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
Smart phone

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a year experience
Experience supporting People with ASD, intellectual disability and ADHD is a must.
Demonstrated Continuing Career development.
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles

SKILLS:




Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Solid time management and ability to prioritize.
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and other computer systems for record keeping.
Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships.
People's skill
Caring and empathy skill

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $36.00 per hour

Deception Bay QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
