Profectus is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to deliver test automation and quality assurance for a secure web application within an Australian Government agency. The application is built on Angular and aggregates data from multiple authoritative sources to support decision making. The work covers automated test development, regression testing, DevSecOps pipeline integration and testing of data migration changes.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver test automation for an Angular-based enterprise web application
Develop and maintain automated tests for sustainment, remediation and feature work
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
Support DevSecOps maturity uplift
Test data migration and integration changes
Verify vulnerability and SBOM remediation
Record, report and track defects
Document test approaches and results
Transfer knowledge to government staff

Required Experience
Test automation experience on enterprise web applications
Experience testing Angular-based applications




Experience with UI and API test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Postman
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in agile delivery teams
Experience working within Defence or another Australian Government agency

Desirable Experience
Experience testing within the Defence Secret setting or other classified settings
Experience testing data migrations
Experience verifying security remediation
ISTQB certification

Security Clearance Requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen
Must have a current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)
