Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School is seeking an experienced and motivated Secondary Physical Education and Sport Teacher to commence in Term 1, 2027. This is a 0.8–1.0 FTE, 12-month fixed-term position, with the possibility of ongoing employment. You will deliver Physical Education and Sport across the Secondary School with skill and professionalism, while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
Deliver Physical Education and Sport across the Secondary School
Engage and inspire adolescents, encouraging confidence, participation and a positive relationship with physical activity
Create an inclusive and supportive environment where all students feel capable, valued and motivated to participate
About you
Current VIT registration
A bus licence or willingness to obtain one
The ability to engage and inspire adolescents
A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment
Robust organisational and communication skills
The ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues
Experience in Steiner Education or an understanding of Steiner pedagogy would be an advantage, but is not essential
