Governor’s Lodge Resort on Norfolk Island are seeking personalities who are passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences. The resort has 55 cabins and 3 on-site dining venues
The Lounge Bar & Cafe, The Boatshed, and our premier a la carte restaurant Bailey's.

Plus one off‑site casual dining venue
Moffy's Pizza & Pasta.

We are looking for an energetic, driven Chef to join our kitchen team. Duties include:
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
Preparing meat and fish
Assisting with the management of health and safety
Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
Monitoring portion and waste control
Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards

About you:
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within a hotel environment




Excellent presentation and impeccable grooming standards
Outstanding communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work without close supervision
Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
Positive and approachable manner
Team player qualities
