The main duties and responsibilities for the Labourer/Tree Planting Crew Member will be planting and completing general labouring for council landscape projects with duties including but not limited to:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Positioning of trees as per plans and/or client requirements
Planting, staking and maintaining trees
Mulching of tree bowls
Establishment wateringand assisting with watering schedules
Maintain a secure working environment and clean workspace
Preparation of tree holes and locations (including excavation)
Planting small plants and garden beds (if required)
Maintaining and caring for company equipment, tools and vehicles
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned/instructed by Management
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written,
Ability to take on all assigned tasks and meet deadlines,
Be physically fit and able to conduct all manual tasks,
Ensure the maintenance and secure use of all vehicles, machinery & equipment used on sites,
Highly motivated and self-driven,
Ability to work efficiently within in a team,
Must have valid drivers licence,
Experience in landscaping and labouring preferred.
