$90,000 + super Brisbane CBD | Hybrid The Firm A well-established Brisbane CBD accounting firm is looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to its growing Business Services team. The firm works with a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, family groups and high-net-worth clients across a range of industries. They have built a solid reputation for providing high-quality compliance, tax and advisory services while maintaining a supportive and down-to-earth team culture. You'll join a team-oriented environment where you'll have direct access to Managers and Partners, regular client interaction and genuine opportunities to develop beyond traditional compliance work.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
Prepare BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements.
Assist with Division 7A, CGT, FBT and other taxation matters.
Liaise directly with clients and the ATO.
Assist with tax planning and advisory work as your experience develops.
Work closely with senior accountants, Managers and Partners.
Manage your own workflow and deadlines across a varied client portfolio. Requirements
2+ years of experience within an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
Currently undertaking CA/CPA studies or looking to commence.
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns.
Exposure to Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar cloud-based accounting software.
A positive attitude and willingness to continue developing technically and professionally. Advantages
