The Role

Reporting to the Irrigation and Playgrounds Supervisor, you will undertake irrigation installation and maintenance, playground maintenance, capital works and special projects across the Council.

Responsibilities include:
Installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems
Monitoring irrigation programs and identifying faults
Maintaining pumps, controllers and water-quality equipment
Supporting playground, parks and garden maintenance
Assisting with capital works and special projects
Operating plant, machinery, tools and equipment

About You

You will be practical, safety-focused and confident solving problems in the field. You will have:
A Certificate III in Irrigation or Horticulture, or relevant experience




Experience with irrigation installation, maintenance and control systems
A current SA MR Driver’s Licence
A Construction Induction White Card
Workzone Traffic Management Accreditation and First Aid, or willingness to obtain them
A Certificate IV in Irrigation or Horticulture and ChemCert certification will be highly regarded
