We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and kitchen operations for participants attending our clinical trials.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role supporting our kitchen team to provide meals and refreshments within a clinical research environment. Shifts will vary based on study requirements and may include weekday, evening, and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
Prepare snacks, beverages, and light meals
Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
Ensure food storage and handling requirements are followed
Restock kitchen supplies and consumables
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Support compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
General kitchen and housekeeping duties as required
About You
You will be:
Reliable, punctual, and flexible
Friendly and able to work well within a team
Comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment
Committed to high standards of cleanliness and food safety
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks
Desirable
Previous experience in a kitchen, café, hospitality, aged care, healthcare, or catering environment
Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate
Current NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics knowledge
