Respiratory Scientist for Lung Function Lab

Breathe Ease is a respiratory and sleep practice located in Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane. The practice has a fully equipped lung function laboratory and is seeking an experienced and motivated Respiratory Scientist to join our team. This is a permanent part time position, primarily working on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities

Independently perform comprehensive lung function testing, including spirometry, diffusing capacity (DLCO) and static lung volumes

Perform maximal inspiratory and expiratory pressures (MIPs and MEPs)

Perform fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) testing

Home sleep study setup, as required

Routine laboratory operations and equipment maintenance





Equipment calibration and quality assurance

Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to relevant laboratory protocols and safety standards

About you

Tertiary qualification in Health Science, Applied Science or an equivalent discipline

Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a lung function laboratory

Ability to perform lung function tests independently and work effectively as part of a clinical team

Experience with Medisoft lung function testing instrumentation or equivalent software is desirable
