Join an established organisation based in Sydney’s south-east in a temporary Payroll Officer position. This is a great prospect for an experienced payroll professional looking for their next contract within a busy, fast-paced environment.Your new role
Working as part of the payroll function, you’ll support the accurate and timely delivery of a high-volume payroll while assisting with reporting, reconciliations and employee queries.Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting end-to-end payroll processing
Processing new starters, terminations and employee changes
Managing leave, allowances, deductions and other payroll adjustments
Completing payroll reconciliations and checking payroll data for accuracy
Using Excel to manipulate, reconcile and analyse payroll data
Assisting with payroll reporting
Responding to employee payroll enquiries
Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee information
Supporting the wider payroll team with ad hoc requirements

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful,



you’ll have previous Australian payroll experience and a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, strong reconciliation skills and the ability to work accurately within a busy payroll workplace.Excellent Excel skills are essential for this position, with confidence working with large data sets and using functions such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables. You’ll also be a confident communicator with the ability to manage competing deadlines.What you'll get in return
